Web Applications

Yelken allows you to choose different web applications for your website while creating a project. Those web applications enable you to create and modify the content of your website as well as design its look without writing code. On Yelken, there are currently two web applications you can choose from:

• Yelken CMS
• Wordpress

While currently there are limited amount of web applications, in the future, it is planned to support deployment of a broader set of applications as well as user developed applications.

Yelken CMS

Yelken CMS describes itself as a Secure by Design, Extendable, and Speedy Next-Generation Content Management System (CMS). It is built and developed by Yelken itself. Similar to WordPress, it delivers a traditional CMS experience by serving both as a content repository (backend) for you and a presentation layer (frontend) for your users.

Yelken CMS features many built-in capabilities. To speak of them, it features localization, an advanced permission system, theme support, a powerful templating system, and structured content management. Yelken CMS is also not constrained by these features and can be extended with additional plugins.

It is currently in Alpha version and under development. You can check out the GitHub repository to follow the development.

WordPress

WordPress is a popular CMS solution that has a great ecosystem with many different plugins and themes. There are also lots of learning materials and example resources on the web for you to start building your website easily.

Yelken enables you to have a running WordPress website without considering infrastructure and configuration.
