Create a Website With WordPress

WordPress is a popular CMS solution that has a great ecosystem with many different plugins and themes. Yelken provides a managed web app experience for WordPress without requiring you to handle configuration and installation.

In this guide, we will create a new project from scratch to create a service with WordPress. If you already have a project and want to have a service in that project, you can use Create Service button too. Whether you create a project from scratch or add a new service to an existing project, the steps are same.

To start creating a new project and a service with WordPress:

1. Go to Create Project page. You can also access it in the Projects page by using Create Project button.
2. Choose Website item from the options.
3. Choose WordPress item from the options.
4. Choose an appropriate plan for your service.
5. Lastly, give a name to your project and use Create button to start creating the project and service.

After creating the project and service successfully, you will be navigated to Services page where you can see the status of your newly created service. You can view details of your service by using View Service button. Additionally, you can track the state of deployments inside the service's details page.

Initially, your WordPress service will be in Creating and then in Initializing state. These states mean that Yelken is creating necessary resources and performing initial setup for service to start running. Under one or two minutes, the service should switch to Running state. After that, you can access your WordPress website by using the URL displayed under External Domain column inside Network section.
